There’s something exciting going on in the weaving world: WeaveZine is introducing a new generation of fiber artists to handweaving.

By advertising with WeaveZine, you can support our efforts to entice and educate new weavers, and at the same time get your marketing message before a new and growing audience.

We offer performance-tracking tools built into the WeaveZine site, so you can track your ad's effectiveness with live statistic reporting.  And a periodic newsletter to keep you up-to-date on advertising best practices and the latest offerings from WeaveZine.

 

Ad Placements and Rates

Compare our rates to those of knitty.com, craftzine.com or Handwoven, and you’ll see that advertising in WeaveZine is a great value for your marketing dollar.

All the ads in WeaveZine are linked to the advertiser’s website, driving traffic directly to your online store or promotional site.

We offer a variety of placements on the site.  Article and podcast ads are permanent placements and are archived with the content.  Site and marketplace ad rates are based on a monthly tenancy.

Rotating Site Ad
(140 pixels wide x 200 pixels high)
Appears on every page of the WeaveZine site, in the left-hand column above the navigation.  Ads are served in rotation.  Monthly tenancy.

Article Ad
(140 pixels wide x 200 pixels high)
Appears on one of the WeaveZine article pages. We will work with you to place your ad with the article most relevant to your marketing goals.  This placement is persistent and archived with the article.

Marketplace Ad
(210 pixels wide x 100 pixels high)
A business-card style ad in the WeaveZine marketplace. The most affordable way to get your message in front of a new generation of weavers. There are a maximum of 20 marketplace ad slots in each issue.  Your ad is displayed on every page load in a random order. Monthly tenancy.

Jumbo Marketplace Ad
(210 pixels wide x 240 pixels high)
A larger version of the marketplace ad. There are a maximum of 10 jumbo marketplace ad slots in each issue.  Your ad is displayed on every page load in a random order. Monthly tenancy.

Email Newsletter Ad
(140 pixels wide x 200 pixels high)
Appears in the left-hand column of the weekly newsletter that is emailed to 3300+ WeaveZine readers who have opted-in to receive the newsletter.

Podcast Sponsorship (up to 3 sponsors per episode)
(variable size: up to 210 pixels wide x 230 pixels high)
Add audio to your marketing campaign.  WeaveCast sponsorship includes a 15-second spot at the beginning and end of the episode, as well as a banner ad in the show notes.  This placement is persistent and archived with the show.

Bulk Purchase Discount

WeaveZine offers discount rates if you purchase an ad placement for three or more months and prepay in advance.

If you go this route, you will still be able to change the graphic and destination URL of your banner from month-to-month.  It’s our way of thanking you for investing in WeaveZine and saving us the time and expense of sending out monthly invoices.

Payment

WeaveZine accepts payment by Paypal (sent to sales@weavezine.com) or check.

Payment must be received two weeks in advance of the placement going live.  For example, if you wanted to place an ad for April, payment would be due by March 15th.

Performance-Tracking Tools

The WeaveZine site tracks impression and click-throughs on all ads placed.  You can access live performance statistics directly from the WeaveZine site. 

To do so: create a user account and email Melissa that you are requesting Advertiser permissions.  Once your account has been granted permissions and linked to your ads, you will be able to log on and view live statistics for all of your ads.  (Organizations with more than one person tracking ads can have multiple user accounts linked to their ads.)

If you prefer third-party statistics, many web-hosting companies offer services that will let you track referrals to your Web site. Contact your web server host for details.

You can also view live traffic and statistics for the WeaveZine site, as reported by the independent organization Sitemeter.

 

Advertiser Newsletter

WeaveZine publishes an email newletter with articles about how to be successful with online advertising, as well as information about marketing opportunities on WeaveZine.
