Weaver, writer, and all-around curious person

Andean Pebble Weave’s New Home

One of the tricky things about shutting down a business is figuring out how to do right by your business partners.  So I’ve been working with Laverne Waddington to find a new venue for her book, Andean Pebble Weave.  In a happy coincidence, I met Julia Grunau of Patternfish.com at a recent retreat, and was impressed with both her and her site.  After several email discussions, Andean Pebble Weave is now available for sale on PatternFish.

I’m delighted that Andean Pebble Weave will still be available to the weaving world.  Laverne’s been wonderful to work with and is a talented writer and teacher.

If you’re not familiar with Patternfish, it’s a site where designers can publish eBooks and PDF patterns and fiber-enthusiasts can browse and purchase them.  It’s a beautiful site currently serving 7833 patterns.

After I explained to Julia that there was no marketplace for weaving patterns online, she immediately agreed to add weaving to the list of fiber atrts categories on Patternfish.

I was so impressed by her enthusiastic support of weaving, that I’ve moved my bookmark pattern to Patternfish, and I think it will be a great home for Laverne’s book.

If you’re a weaving designer interested in publishing patterns for sale, or if you’d like to publish an eBook without setting up a whole website infrastructure, check out Patternfish.  It’s got some digital-rights management features (watermarking) and a simple and easy-to-browse catalog of patterns.  (Note: No affliation, just a happy customer and designer.)
