I use PVC for my lease sticks, holes are drilled in the ends and I use knitting stitch holders (the kind that look like giant safety pins) to hold them together.

I use a gate counter, that is worn on your finger, to help me keep up with counting warp threads as I warp.

I use the inexpensive rubber drawer liners under my table loom to keep them from slipping and to prevent marring the table surface under the loom.

When warping back-to-front, I use 1/2" elastic to hold the lease sticks in place so I can thread the heddles. To hold them in place, I use two lengths of 1/2" elastic, about 3 yards in length each. I fold the elastic in half and put them around the back beam. Then I weave the two ends of one elastic through the lease sticks at one edge and then tie the elastic to the front beam. Repeat with the other length of elastic on the other end of the lease sticks. If I need to also use a front set of lease sticks, the elastic will hold them in place as well. They can also help maintain tension when winding the warp on.
